Awesome.

This could be blues easily. If you imagine a lead part, or an accompany with some dirty blues rythm guitar. This is a really good song. Thanks for making it.

Awesome

The solo is sweet. It may have some typical blues progression, but all the same, its very unique in its execution. Its interesting that the guitar can be used so many ways. From solimentary blues, to delta slide, to wonderful blues solos such as the one I am reviewing.

Not sure about this one.

I am not impressed by the standard blues riffs and solos in this song. The singer also is overly expressive. Maby fake sounding. Real blues comes from a feeling of desperation and depression. The singer should be singing rock. On a side note, I do like the lyrics.

Good.

I like the arrangement. It is really good. A darker theme. You are a very talented person. You took Slayer and made them blues. How the hell did you do it?

Pretty good

I like the song. It has a nice progression. I dont like the multi-overdubbed guitar parts at times. A simpler two guitar part song would be better in my opinion. However, I am not one to tell an artist what to do. It sounds like it the guitarist is trying to imitate a slide style with fingering. You may want to try some of the lead with a delta blues slide guitarist.

Why doesnt blues have more innovation these days?

I am getting shitty reviews for my song, "I love my whiskey", yet it seems that others, that play standard riffs invented by others and slap lyrics over them are getting good reviews. People do not understand the blues anymore. It has become a field of imitators and charlatans. I am not even trying to make it sound like I am arrogant about my own playing abilities. I am not as good as many, many guitar players or songwriters. I am just tired of blues riffs and songs being critiqued poorly. This "riff" is nothing special. Its a typical line. Its two guitar parts, lead guitar, and rythm. Typical progression, typical method. The real blues guitar players do it by themselves.

This submission was meant to be a simple and straightforward 12-bar blues. Also, there are three guitar parts, not two. There are two rhythm guitars playing two similar, but contrasting patterns (the second comes in on the first verse on the 4 chord), and a lead. I technically did do it by myself because it is me playing all three parts.
The Audio Portal was made to help people who create Flash have a good soundtrack for their submissions. Thus, many Audio Portal submissions are simple so not to distract the viewer from the visual part of a Flash. This is a very simple song but is generally soothing, so it would be good for a fairly mellow Flash. Maybe your song is so good that it would be outright distracting in a Flash.
And, please, don't take out your anger on me because your song is getting "shitty" reviews. Bitching is not very attractive and won't get you anywhere on Newgrounds, except maybe the BBS. So, if you want to bitch, do it there.

Dont bother getting to know me unless you are willing to be a drunk and an intellectual.
